This week, we've got a very special edition of Sunday Funday, featuring Shayne's most favourite bagels and smoked meat in the whole wide world. If you're an East-coaster, a Vancouverite (or ex-Vancouverite), a Quebecois, a smoked meat lover, or a bagel connoisseur, this is the Sunday for you.
Flown in from the lower mainland, we're serving up Siegel's Bagels: authentic, Montreal-style bagels. These bagels are the real deal - baked in a special woodfire stone oven, they have a unique smoky flavour and a firm, chewy texture. Enjoy rosemary sea salt, poppyseed, or sesame toasted with butter, cream cheese, lox & cream cheese, or Schwartz's smoked meat and yellow mustard.
Direct from Montreal, we've got Schwartz's Deli Montreal smoked meat on the menu. Still in its original location and using its original recipe, Schwartz's prepares smoked meat the old-fashioned way, on location, using a secret blend of locally produced fine herbs and spices, marinated for 10 days; smoked overnight, steamed all day, and sliced “à la minute” by hand with love. Enjoy on a Siegel's rosemary rock salt bagel with some yellow mustard.
